"Leno's Clam Bar" is Located in New Rochelle. Originally owned by
Jay Leno's Uncle Nick who was rumored to be a very "sloppy guy" people began to give him the nickname
"Greasy Nick." Nick's little
snack bar became quite famous amongst Westchester residents who still to this day call the Restaurant
"Greasy Nicks's." "Leno's Clam Bar" has mostly
outside seating and is more like a
Beach Snack Bar then a restaurant . The
burgers are what made them famous. They are
Greasy burgers on a deli roll with fried onions. Residents who frequent
"Greasy Nick's" are usually there for a
burger or corn on the cob that is served
drowned in butter. I enjoy eating at
"Leno's Clam Bar" on a
nice breezy spring day when I can sit
outside and enjoy a
Greasy Burger. "Leno's Clam Bar" is a
snack bar and although
famed and frequented it is nothing special for that reason I am giving them
